Imovie For El Capitan 10.11

This article explains how you can fix iMovie exporting problems. You can easily export your videos or movies so that you can use and share your project outside of iMovie. iMovie offers a lot of sharing options:

Jan 04, 2016 OS X El Capitan was previewed for the first time at WWDC 2015 on June 8. Version number OS X 10.11 and codenamed Gala, El Capitan was released on September 30, 2015. The real-world El Capitan is a geological feature of Yosemite National Park, so it makes sense that OS X El Capitan builds on the foundation Apple laid for OS X Yosemite, as well. I ran into an issue today where I wanted to install iMovie on my El Capitan (10.11.6) MacPro, but found a really crappy catch-22: you can't install it from the App Store because Mac OS 10.11 is too old for the latest version of iMovie, but then there's no way to get the older version (10.1.6) of iMovie if you don't already have it in your purchase history.

  • FaceBook.

Sometimes, however, iMovie may not work properly. More specifically you might not be able to share your videos from iMovie. You may get an error when trying to export videos from iMovie. For example, you may get the following error message:

Exporting “macreports” has failed. The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.Compressor.CompressorKit.ErrorDomain Error -1.)
